Eva's Bike

This afternoon Eva rode her bike around the park. She made one loop only because it was too hot. (Sorry to all of you who live in Canada.)
Anyway, I was trying to backlight Eva with the afternoon sun. A lot of people want to put their subjects facing the sun...This will result in bad photos that have harsh shadows. Shoot into the sun and get your subjects backlit...this is a good way to turn bad light into good light. However, the best thing to do is to shoot at sunrise or sunset and put the camera away during the day. Hard to do when you have kids.

This is my favourite photo of the day.

I added a little bit of warmth to this photo to get it looking 70'ish.

Eva looks so grown-up on her bike - nice shots! Keep up the running, too, Andrew. I can say that now that I'm getting to the gym!! mom
